Weir and McLafferty Dental Care staff turned their Secret Santa gifts in to a charity collection for Children in Poverty Inverclyde.

They also donated £440 to the local charity which runs an annual Christmas toy appeal as well as sending families on holiday every year.

Senior dental nurse Amanda Gregory said: “We normally do a Secret Santa every year worth £30 every year. But there are only so many presents you need. So this year we decided to donate to Children in Poverty Inverclyde.

“Some of the staff donated the £30 and others gave in gifts. It is such a great charity.”

Every year Children in Poverty Inverclyde inspires business, workplaces, individuals and organisations across the area to donate hundreds of presents.

Most recently nine-year-old Jack Robertson, a TikTok sensation, whose aunt works in the dental practice, donated around 100 gifts to the local cause.

Charity trustee John McGovern said: “On behalf of Inverclyde Children in Poverty, we would like to extend heartfelt thanks to everyone at Weir & McClafferty Dental Practice for their incredible generosity.

“The team are helping to bring joy and smiles to local children during this special time of year.

“Donations like this make a real difference, and all at Children in Poverty are truly grateful for their kind support.”
